Child Protection Intervention in Bor-August-December 2025

Smile Charity South Sudan has implemented the Child Protection Project in Bor, which aims to prevent the Peers recruitment of children and adolescents into gang groups, as well as provide support to those previously affected. The intervention targeted the support of positive behavior, resilience, and emotional wellbeing through organized psychosocial support & Mental Health (MHPSS) activities.

Children engaged in culturally based, age-sensitive activities throughout this project period, including traditional dance, singing, storytelling, and life-skills training. These activities reengaged participants in their cultural identity, developed better coping strategies, and regained stability and a sense of belonging in their communities.

The project keeps building a safe environment where vulnerable children can grow, heal, and make positive choices for their future. Smile Charity South Sudan stays committed to the cause of advancing child protection and promoting wellbeing among all the children in Bor.
